The Temple Wedding

When you choose the Temple Wedding, you will be outdoors in front of the famed Mr. Madison's Temple, built by James Madison in the 1800s. Your guests will be seated in chairs on the lawn, and your reception will take place in a tent just behind the wedding location in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

For a Temple Wedding, Montpelier will provide:
- Use of the north lawn
- Use of Madison's Temple
- Electricity
- Water

and the wedding party will provide:
- Tent
- Table and chairs
- Portable toilets
- All food, drink, china, silverware, napkings, tablecloths, flowers, and band.
- Any other necessary items
The mansion may be opened for 1½ hours during the event, if desired, at a cost of $500.
